Exterior Color Change

Want to freshen up the appearance of your home? There is no better way than a new coat of paint!

If repainting the existing approved exterior colors on your residence, Design Review Board approval is not needed before you may begin. Please ensure your painters are in compliance with the WaterColor Contractor Standards.

If changing any of the currently applied exterior colors, a short review process is required before painting may begin. Please see the information and color palettes provided below:

The main body color of the residence is to be selected from the approved color palette for the residence. The remaining colors do not need to adhere to the color palette. Some color palettes may list trim/shutter/accent colors, those sections should be disregarded as they are no longer applicable.

The main body color cannot be the same as that of any other residence within two lots to either side, one directly across/behind, or one diagonal. The trim color can be the same color as the body or a lighter color, but not stark white. The accent color can be chosen at your discretion. On the application packet, a factory color chip is to be placed next to every color that is changing from what is currently on the residence. For instance, if all three colors are changing, then we request that 3 color chips be added. This will assist in the in-field inspection.

Please hand deliver or mail the application package, including the review fee, to Andrew Fromknecht at the HOA office. The review fee for an exterior color change is $400.00. Payment is to be made by check, payable to “WaterColor Community Association”.

Online payment options are available at an additional fee. Please contact Andrew Fromknecht for additional information or to pay online.

After the application packet has been turned in, color samples of each of the colors that will be modified are to be applied to the residence. If both the body and trim are changing colors, please have the samples applied so that they are adjacent to each other. The sample sections do not need to be larger than one square foot apiece.

The WaterColor color palettes linked below illustrate the intended range of color options for the structures in the development. Each address has a specific color approach, which has been determined by the nature of the structure within the zone and their location with respect to surrounding landscape and buildings. The color samples presented convey the range of options within each address.

Please note that the printing techniques/screen resolution cannot accurately reproduce the color sample. Please consult with manufacturer's paint color chips. Colors can be matched/reproduced by most paint manufacturers.
